Nov 30th-Dec 4th

These are some fantastic surreal painting done by Amy Ross found on google images. So strange, yet so lovable at the same time. All her paintings are very simplistic and mix mammals with plant life. My favorite is the first one. It's actually a close up of a vine covered in regular flower buds, but the goat head one is obviously a bit more interesting.

Well thanksgiving break was grand, but now its over and I weigh ten pounds more. I'm not ecstatic about this project, Ballistic Tom. Well, I was until my group (still unnamed) got ripped to shreads. Ouch! I still have a bruise on my ego. It's healing, but slowly. I don't know what we are going to do about our "handicapped" partner. It seems he can't do anything. But oh well, trudge on!! AND I can't believe its already December!! Well, there has been Christmas jingles on the radio sense Nov 13th, but I can't believe two more weeks till schools out. Holey Moley!!

Nov 23rd-THANKSGIvING

If I could draw a turkey it would look like this, and taste even better. Im kinda hungry right now...this isn't helping. So, this is my weekly contribution

This blog is for the birds!! Mainly, I am dedicating it to all the dead Turkey's we have enjoyed this week. Go thanksgiving!! And Green Bay Packers!!
All these pictures came from 'Birdie Blog: Man is not a Bird'. Blog about birds. How perfect! ...and strange. I didn't actually read it, I just liked the art obviously.

Nov 16th-Nov 2oth

My sketch of a bird...kinda matches Chrissie's. Kinda not.

Chrissie Chrissie Chrissie!!

I know I have already blogged about her, but I love her!! Chrissie Abott does hundreds of beautiful paintings/ collaborations like these and I plan to post on most of them!! Just warning you. I mean, the point of a blog was to find inspiration, and I have- i her. Why look any further, ya know?

Nov 9 Nov 15th and Animation!!!!

This has been quite a week, but I am finished with the last individual project and I am so glad. I'm excited to start this 5 week adventure, but mostly terrified. I have faith in my group...sorta. It will be interesting.
This work is by a british artist whose name is Chrissie Abott. I love love love her work. Its psychedelic and whimsical. It uses loads of color and the scrap booking effect. I would hang this on my wall. Definitely.

LIGHTS!!
These are some Chuck Anderson artworks. Obviously, they use lighting, as well as color. You can buy them from the Urban Outfitters website as wall art, if ever you felt so obliged. Like last week, the cameras have had their lens filters left open allowing movement in the light to be captured. Hence the streaks. And i'm sure photoshop helped too.

Oct 26th 31st & 3dmax Design

These are all Lynn Fox images of Bjork that i admired. There is some videos too that are equally intriguing. They use light. It looks the filter was left open creating the streaks that re scene in the images so one can tell the movement. It is quite an intriguing effect

It's a disco ball. Holy moley it looks pathetic and it was so so so so so so so hard.my friend is never getting your computer back because I am NOT ever downloading and dealing with 3Ds MAX ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! End of story. I wanted to rip my hair out and scream. Ugh. And THIS is all I have to show for it. Pathetic.

Oct 19th-25th

All this talk about lighting effects really got me thinking about film, not just digitl animation. Thinking about film got me to thinking about camera angles and how different they can be and how they are manipulated to capture light to develop new feelings for the film. Which THEN got me thinking about one of the greatest and very influential, not to mention extremely profitable and containing sexy men, films: Fight Club. It was the use of camera angles and lighting that helped mold the script into an artwork. The camera work is just as important as the acting or the dialogue. Without it, the message would of never been delievered in such an expressive tone.

This picture simutanously possesive three main qualities that i find ideal:
1.Andy Warhol-ness
2. Fight Club-ness
3. and Brad Pitt!
